The Puff Pastry Masterclass will demystify the art of creating perfect buttery puff pastry from scratch.

Led by our experienced pastry chef, you’ll discover the surprisingly simple process of making puff pastry, from layering butter and dough to achieving those irresistible flaky layers. Whether you’re a novice baker or a seasoned enthusiast, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to create homemade puff pastry that rivals the finest patisseries.

During the class, you’ll have the opportunity to make two different types of puff pastry:

French Puff Pastry: The classic 5 turn lamination technique of creating delicate, melt-in-your-mouth puff pastry.
Scottish Puff Pastry: Explore the unique fast track method of making Scottish puff pastry, known for being a short cut to achieving perfect puff pastry every time.

Once you’ve mastered the art of puff pastry-making, it’s time to put your skills to the test as you create two mouthwatering tarts:

Seasonal Fruit Tarte Tartin: Indulge in the vibrant flavours of seasonal fruits, caramel and a buttery puff pastry base.
Roast Tomato, Ricotta, and Basil Tart: Delight in the savoury combination of sweet roasted tomatoes, creamy ricotta cheese, and fragrant basil, all nestled within a flaky puff pastry crust.

After the class, everyone will gather in our dining room to enjoy their creations accompanied by a glass of bubbles; and they will also take home a selection to share with family and friends.
